ITjustworks Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides The Holy Quran mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy: the App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

The data controller is ITjustworks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16645618, with registered office at 113 Romford Road, London, United Kingdom, E15 4LY. For any privacy enquiries, contact our Data Protection Officer at DPO@itjustworks.uk.
The App does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information. We do not use analytics or tracking technologies, and we do not display advertisements.
The only information about you that is processed away from your device is a record of any in-app purchase you make, described in section 5. If you do not buy Premium, nothing about you is processed beyond the standard technical request information described in section 4, and then only when you play recitation audio.
To provide core functionality, the App stores the following locally on your device only, using the operating system’s standard app storage. This information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us:

The Quran text, translations, commentary (tafsir), word-by-word meanings and recitation timings are all included in the App itself. Displaying them requires no internet connection and no request to any third party.
Recitation audio is streamed on demand, and only when you choose to play it. For this, the App connects to:
audio-cdn.tarteel.ai — per-chapter recitation audio.everyayah.com — per-verse recitation audio, used for some reciters.All typefaces used by the App are bundled with it; the App does not request fonts from any external service.
When the App requests audio from these services, your device’s IP address and standard technical request information (such as device and operating-system type) are transmitted to them, as is necessary for any internet connection. We do not control these services and we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies. We do not share any other information with them, and we do not receive any personal data back from them.
The App offers optional premium features through in-app purchase. All payments are processed securely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play), depending on your device. We never receive or store your payment card details. The store manages purchases, subscriptions, and billing in accordance with its own privacy policy.
To unlock premium features on your device, and to restore them if you reinstall the App or use it on another device, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider. RevenueCat receives a record of your purchases and subscription status, the purchase token issued by Apple or Google, an anonymous identifier that RevenueCat generates for your installation of the App, and basic technical information such as your device type and app version. It does not receive your name, email address, or payment details, and we do not use this information for analytics, advertising, or profiling. RevenueCat acts as our processor and handles this information on our instructions; see the RevenueCat privacy policy.
The App is suitable for users of all ages. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no profiling, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Purchases are made through Apple or Google, where parental controls and age restrictions apply.
We do not operate any server that holds your personal data. Records of purchases are held on our behalf by RevenueCat, and by Apple or Google, under their own security programmes. Every connection the App makes uses encrypted transport (HTTPS). Information stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security features.
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have rights over your personal data. Because we hold very little about you, there is usually little for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have made a purchase and wish to exercise your rights in relation to that record, contact DPO@itjustworks.uk and we will action it with our processors. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The third-party services described above, including RevenueCat, may be hosted outside the United Kingdom, principally in the United States. When your device connects to a content service, your IP address may be transmitted internationally as part of delivering the content you request. Where purchase information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, that transfer is made under the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, which forms part of our processor’s data processing terms.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
